We have had a horrible hot spell, 103 F, no air conditioning, who wants to go anywhere, so I have been working in front of two fans trying to finish some of those projects that are just looking at me
every time I enter the room. So here are some of those.

I entered the Kreinik Challenge by the SFSNA. I was disappointed by the kind of thread scraps, I received. Yes they were very pretty, but when the threads varied from 1" to 7" at the most, it is quite hard to either use them in the sewing machine much less by hand!
After hours, trying to separate the best pieces, anywhere from 10" to 15", the last were the silver ones
which I did use. The others used were smaller pieces, but since I ended doing a needlepoint piece, it worked for me.I had a hard time searching for a project that would allow me to use scraps. I regret not being able to do something better and larger.

New Year,New work

I cannot believe it has been a year since I last posted anything. I tried to join other bloggers to no avail.I am still not tech savvy, nor will I ever be. This is a very old and not modern blog, which I wish I could give it a complete change. I tried this years ago, then Google changed the name and everything I had posted then has vanished. So her are some of the UFO's I have been diligently working on.

These are the beaded faces I made, however, never made them into dolls.

These are the beautiful orchids that after 13 years finally blossomed for me in October. They lasted 0ver a month, I did not want to cut them, so I let them be in their happy environment. I never knew that these orchids had such a beautiful aroma.

I have been working on this Japaese style vest. I am almost finished. Could not find a yarn of the same shading, but I bought one that I feo i oove with, it in red tones.

Finally,  finished the binding on this quilt which I really love. The quilting was done in a pink shiny thread, I should have taken a photo of the back which shows how beautiful it is.
